Nicole's Adventure!: Life Begins at Thirty

I'm no longer an expatriate. I started my 3rd year of medical school in Miami and have finished my first set of medical boards, which I passed! I've been to the little island of Dominica and Miami. I completed my Family Medicine, OB/GYN and Internal Medicine clerkships while living in the beautiful city of Miami Beach, FL. I moved to New York City in the beginning of August 2011, passed my second set of boards and finished rotations in Astoria, Queens in December 2011. I have not been posting as much as I have been extremely busy. It is hard to believe that I finished medical school, landed a pediatrics residency and that I'm finally Nicole, M.D.

Life Begins at Thirty

I started writing this post, a few weeks ago around my birthday but didn't finish it. Thus, it is a little late!!

It is hard for me to believe that I'm 30 years old! I had a surprise dinner party at Europa. It was so much fun! I thought that I was just meeting Mom, but every 10-15 minutes another one of my friends showed up. It was such a wonderful fun night! Thank you everyone for joining me.

I have decided in the last few weeks since turning 30 that I already like my 30s more than my 20s. I'm more confident, happier and just have a stronger sense of self. My 20s were great, but I think that life is looking great and that my 30s will be even better!!
